Sport respects your rights
Logo/Identity
2013.10

Logo / visual identity for Sport respects your rights, a Eureopean awareness campaign about gender harassment and sexualised violence in sports. It can be used in different colour combinations depending on context / background, the emphasis in the name can also be set differently.

The backstory of the logo is the Greek myth of Daphne, as this project is based on the European Commission’s Daphne III programme (a general prevention programme against sexualised violence): Daphne was a Greek nymph who transformed into a laurel tree as a measure of self defense against an importunate admirer. So the laurel in this logo has a double function not only as an emblem of athletic success and honor, but also as protective shielding of one’s own personal sphere.

I did the web site of the project as well, see here.
